Silly Society: Nuts, Bolts, and a Loose Screw

The Silly Society, as I envision it, will be ran like Bonnie runs her Sunday Brunches. I will ask for contributions to a discussion question (or questions) and post an edited summary of the results. If anyone has a better way or a suggestion, please feel free to share it. Time is a major factor in everyone's lives I am sure. With that in mind, I am trying to tailor fit the society to everyone's lives I possibly can.

I would now like to share a possible round of discussion questions to kick off the society with.

Who is your favorite comedian and why?

Is there a comedian that has changed your life? How did they do it?

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you or someone else?

Did you ever play or want to play a prank on someone?

Do you remember any funny moments in history? Any strange but true facts or bloopers?

Do you have a question that you would like to be on the first round of discussion questions? Please share them if you do! I look forward to reading them!!! As far as a kick off day, I will let the poll results come in and post them. Should I do so a week in advance to let everyone jump on the bandwagon that wants to?

Oh Geez. That's a tough one because I laugh hysterically all the time. I had about four bouts just last night and damned if I can even remember the topics of the conversation now. *grins*

I suppose one of the times that really stands out in my memory is when I played in the hot summer sunshine on black plastic with oil and my husband. We were nekkid. Didja know that lawns aren't flat surfaces? Ouch!

When I was a girl, I used to do pranks all the time. Saran wrap under the toilet seat was a favorite of mine. *grins*

Janet Jackson's nipple blooper was really funny to me. I mean come on people. Its a nipple not her twaddle parts. Get over it! But the whole thing seemed to be such an issue. *rolls eyes*

Hi Marcus,

My favourite comedian is Rowan Atkinson. I adore him as Mr. Bean, but have never warmed up to his spoken roles as Blackadder or in Thin Blue Line. I love his stand-up routines, though.

Richard Jeni kept us in hysterics one New Year's Eve when we found him by chance on TV. Sadly, he is gone now.

Hugs,
Hermione

Hermione,

Hello! I hope all is well with you and Ron. Rowan Atkinson is a favorite comedian of mine as well. Unfortunately, I have never seen Richard Jeni. I will have to remedy that problem!

Thank you for sharing!

Marcus
