Energy of Being
Lately, my energy has been up and down. I have had highs and lows. Truthfully, I am thankful for variety. The lows help me appreciate the highs more. This weekend, I have had a little bit of both. Right now, I am content. I am not happy or sad. Instead, I just am. All is as it should be. As Guruka Singh would say "I am whelmed." Life is presenting me with challenges, but those challenges are not overwhelming. Stress in moderation is a good thing, and I welcome it. It helps me feel alive. Not long from now, I hope to be sleeping. I do not know what I will dream, but I know that I will be given what I need. In short, I am thankful for the ability to just be without worry. May my existence be blissful for the Cosmic Dreamer. I long to be of service to the higher power of the Cosmos. With my devotion to divine, I will be able to know the true meaning of bliss.

Silly Society: Update
I have been thinking that I could post the Silly Society question (or questions) on Monday and give the edited summary of the results on Friday. It would give everyone the entire week to respond. Time can be a problem for many so I would like to give as much time as possible to particpate. What do you think?
Additionally, here are the two responses to the proposed kickoff questions which can be found here:
Greenwoman:
Who is your favorite comedian and why?
What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you or someone else?
Oh Geez. That's a tough one because I laugh hysterically all the time. I had about four bouts just last night and damned if I can even remember the topics of the conversation now. *grins* I suppose one of the times that really stands out in my memory is when I played in the hot summer sunshine on black plastic with oil and my husband. We were nekkid. Didja know that lawns aren't flat surfaces? Ouch!
Did you ever play or want to play a prank on someone?
When I was a girl, I used to do pranks all the time. Saran wrap under the toilet seat was a favorite of mine. *grins*
Do you remember any funny moments in history? Any strange but true facts or bloopers?
Janet Jackson's nipple blooper was really funny to me. I mean come on people. Its a nipple not her twaddle parts. Get over it! But the whole thing seemed to be such an issue. *rolls eyes*
Hermione:
My favourite comedian is Rowan Atkinson. I adore him as Mr. Bean, but have never warmed up to his spoken roles as Blackadder or in Thin Blue Line. I love his stand-up routines, though.Richard Jeni kept us in hysterics one New Year's Eve when we found him by chance on TV. Sadly, he is gone now.
Nicely done! I will post any others which are added. However, I must stress that the Silly Society has not officially begun yet. The details are still being worked out, and I encourage any feedback you would like to provide. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask via a comment or my e-mail address which is located in my profile. I am really looking forward to having fun with all of you as we explore the humorous side of life! Until then, I will keep in touch with periodic updates about the status of the Silly Society's debut.

Sunday Reflections
Each Sunday, I have decided to reflect on what has happened during the previous week concerning my misbehavior, what I learned, and what I am grateful for. In addition, I will also give a question for the upcoming week that I will answer the following Sunday. It is my way of keeping track of my progress toward being the best I can be. Comments are more than welcome and encouraged. Please feel free to list your own reflections and answer the question if you would like to. Here it goes for this week.
Misbehavior:
1. I did not study nearly enough.
2. My attitude was not up to standard.
3. I had to be reminded to take the trash out.
Learned:
1. My time management skills need work.
2. Things are not always as bad as I think they are.
3. Attitude is everything.
Grateful for:
1. Deborah
2. Family
3. Good friends
4. Being alive
5. The ability to love
6. The sunrise and sunset
7. A thankful heart
8. An open and fertile mind
9. Being a spanko
10. Books
Question:
When the past brings memories of heartache, what is the cure?

Professor Norway: The Past Returns (Part 1)
Professor Norway tapped her red pen on her desk as she proceeded to grade one of the papers in the last batch of the day. She read the same paragraph for the fifth time. It completed made no sense whatsoever. After writing a comment on the paper reflecting the paragraph's lack of clarity, she tried again to venture into the scope of the paper. The student just did not have a grasp on the subject and couldn't have done much research at all. How many times had she warned students not to "wing" a paper? At least, the student chose a good topic dealing with the Age of Andrew Jackson. Oh well, the grade would reflect the carelessness research and haphazard arrangement of ideas. She thought to herself a moment that she might be being too harsh. Memories of when she was in college filled her mind. Professor Craigmire had given her a hard time about her paper. He told her she needed to pretty much scrap what she had written and begin anew. She had been heartbroken because she thought the paper was excellently written. With that thought in mind, she decided to give the student another chance. As she read the paper again, it didn't seem as bad as before.
A few moments later, there was a knock on the door. "Come in," called Professor Norway. It was one of her students. "Yes Victoria, how may I help you" "Sorry to bother you professor" "It is quite alright. How is the oral history project coming." "It is going well, Professor. I found someone to interview, and I am here to get your approval before I conduct the interview." "Ok, who is the person you are going to interview?" "His name is Professor Craigmire." Professor Norway's face went ashen. "Are you ok, Professor?" "Yes, of course. I was just thinking about him is all, and you come in here asking me to approve an interview with him for your project." "I could interview someone else if you don't approve." "No, he will be fine. The request was just unexpected." "Thank you, Professor." "You are welcome. Anything else I can help you with?" "That was all I needed." "Ok, see you in class Monday." "See you in class, Professor."
Professor Norway tried her best to get Professor Craigmire out of her mind. After all, she did have papers to grade. Unfortunately, the memories still came. Professor Craigmire knew things about her that she preferred no one else knew. One day in class, she dropped a letter on the floor as she gathered her books to go to her next class. Professor Craigmire picked it up after class thinking it was a student's notes that he could return the next class. Instead, it was a very detailed love letter about what she thought about him romantically. She wrote things about him being the perfect kind of man to give her the discipline she so desperately needed and outlined the things she wanted him to do to her. After the next day of class with him, he called her aside and told her to go with him to his office.
In his office, she learned that he had the very thing in his possession she dreaded him having beyond words. Sternly, he told her the matter at hand was serious. He told her that she must not bring anything like that again into his classroom. She did not know what to say and was extremely embarrassed. However, he did tell her that he understood the desires she had and told her about some books she could read on her interests. They were books she had never considered reading before. In fact, she thought something had been wrong with her for feeling the things she did. At least, he had given her that much, the ability to feel like she wasn't an oddity. A feeling of sleepiness came over Professor Norway. She had work to do, but the nature of her recollection of days gone by had sapped her of her energy. Lost in the memories of the past, Professor Norway drifted off to dreamland.

Love Our Lurker's Day III: Thank You for Making It a Success
Love Our Lurker's Day III was an awesome experience for me this year. I remember how much fun it was last year, and I was ecstatic to be able to participate again. In my opinion, it should occur twice a year. Of course, a request like that would not be fair to Bonnie. However, I have been thinking that I could step up to the plate and help run it or even host it myself. I am not sure what the spanko community would think about that so I will ask. What do you think about about The Switching Hour hosting a LOL Day? Should I be brave and ask Bonnie if I can do it?
One last thing, thank you for making LOL Day this year a success! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I can't wait to be part of it again.
